About Me
Dear neighbors,
I’m excited to share that I am running for the Juneau Assembly.
Why am I running? I care about Juneau and about Juneau’s future. I am a good listener. I spent the past 25 years building solutions and housing for our community, collaborating, and being creative. I am good at working with different entities and people to overcome obstacles and manage crises calmly. I want this place we all love to be a place where young people can afford to live.
Why now? I recently retired and would like to continue giving back to the community. Housing is a key priority of mine – as the Vice President at Tlingit Haida Regional Housing Authority, I worked behind the scenes to find funding and to create housing and work opportunities in our community and throughout Southeast.
Collaboration is my strong suit. Juneau’s deep roots, strong values, and extraordinary people are what motivate me. Together, we can build a community of opportunity where people can thrive — a community where families can afford to stay, workers can build good lives, small businesses can grow, and every resident feels heard and represented.
This campaign is about listening, working together, and focusing on practical solutions that improve daily life for the people of Juneau. From housing and infrastructure to economic opportunity, public services, and quality of life, I am ready to bring energy, collaboration, and commitment to the Assembly.
I’m running because I believe in Juneau — and I believe in what we can accomplish together. Choose Joyce for Juneau, and let’s get to work.
